I like the Ninja Magic stands... but not for this application.
They are designed to fit over a typical flight stand, such as the one ADB uses. And they work quite well for that.

With the Mongoose stands, I found that I needed to cut 2/3 to 3/4 of the peg off to make the female part of the Ninja Magic adapter fit properly.

For that much effort and the added cost of the Ninja Magic adaptors, I'm going to just stick with the Mongoose ball-n-socket adaptors. With just a few seconds filing, the balls fit nicely nad the stands can be removed at will, making them easy to store.
