Sure would appreciate a couple more sign ups for Seltorians, 0.88 is way to low. I would rather not win that way. Don't particularly want to fly Selts anyway, but don't want to get beat by them either!

Seltorians are good at any multiplier.
Light DN + 2xNCA = 259 points. So even at a .96 they are getting 30 p-1s.
Selts are just completely unpopular, possibly because no one knows them or possibly because of their SFB tournament ship sucking so badly. The PC is terrible, but they are going to be 6-12 P-1s up on everyone else.
It is the granularity effect again. Their tournament legal fleet is a CA and 2xNCA. at 426 points it has 28 p-1s, 10 PCs and 6 WBs. That is probably a little weak, but still good. They have nothing, however, on which to spend the extra 24 points, because the next thing up from the CA/NCA is the DNL at 175 points. They should get more play than they do based on strength alone. |

Don't forget the 18 hit and run attacks, or even a realistic chance of capture. |

Are those ISC ships now in FCOL fully tested?
The ISC multiplier is 1.00 since they are untested. So, you need to spend between 425 and 450 points on them. _________________ Jim Dauphinais, Chesterfield, MO

We effectively have 4 players who will select the Seltorians at 0.88 (Brandon, Paul, Patrick and myself). I could wait around for 5th signup for them at 0.88 to prove the consensus is that they are underpriced at 0.88, but based on likely oversubscription, let's just go ahead now and move the Seltorian multiplier to 0.92 and be done with it.
I will stick with the Selts at 0.92.
Thus, so far for signups we have:
1) Jim Dauphinais -- Seltorian (at 0.92)
2) Patrick -- Gorns (at 0.96)
3) Paul (The_Rock) -- Romulans (at 0.92 unless he is voluntarily taking them at 0.96 to keep Patrick happy)
4) Brandon (Archer) -- To be determined ( Seltorians now cost 0.92 rather than 0.88 )
5) Fred (Krellex) -- Frax (at 0.96)
6) Phil (VulcanDropout) -- To be determined, possibly ISC _________________ Jim Dauphinais, Chesterfield, MO

Selts used to be really bad when the PC 3 impulse delay extended over turn breaks. I think that's where they got a lot of their bad reputation.
Now they're pretty good with lots of PH-1s. 10 PH-1 on a DNL or NCA is pretty awesome. |

Ehh, Frax show as 0.96 in the OP. Unless there are a bunch of stealth Frax that we don't know about yet pushing the multiplier back up. _________________

Hello guys! I have not come to a final conclusion as to whether I will participate in the tourney or not. If I do play, I think I will play with the WYN. I'll update as the deadline gets closer.
And also, I will participate in the next Summer tournament (likely #5). I'm just very busy with schoolwork right now. |

Assuming the Orions are sorted for what I want in time I'll be in with them, other wise I'll pass again. |

The ISC PPD doesn't seem to be implemented. So I guess I'll be flying Gorns. |

Lee,
I spoke to Paul again this morning, he is still looking into the option mount issue, but expects to have it resolved before the tournament.
Everyone else,
Please check your library ASAP. If your ship is not there and you want it to be, I need to know soon. The process for getting defs done is longer now. |
