Seeing everyone's here so far encouraged me to buy a Federation Squadron Box this morning. I'm jazzed, in a geeky sorta way, and can hardly wait to get in to it. _________________ Jim Lewis

Double Trouble (D7 and C7)
Old pic of my C8 before I redid it (puttied up and sanded). New paint is like the Double Trouble ships (C7 & D7)

When I got my first Klingon squadron box, I thought I had a minor casting defect on the C7 because there's a knotch right behind the bridge bubble. Looking at your photos, I see the same knotch. Ergo, it looks like it's something in the design and not the casting. Either way, I don't like it. _________________ Garth L. Getgen |

Nice, clean work Bill. I especially like your clean-up work on the engine/hull joints - best I've seen so far. _________________

All it took was some Squadron Green putty and patience. I bought a couple tubes because I'm gonna need it by the time I get done a couple fleet boxes. |

Well I've never painted a starship before, but have just finished my first acta mini, a C7 I think. I'm not to unhappy with it. Though my photography needs practise (how many blurry images did I have to go through). Also just realised looking at the photos there are some bits I still need t do.

Never really been a fan of "green" Klingon ships, but that is one clean looking Klink.
I would not complain if the Klingon High Command assigned that ship to me as a flagship.
Good job, Lee. _________________

One of the things that has always put me off trying starship minis is I find them 'boring' paint scheme wise. Gray or white just strikes me as uninteresting. I needed to have some real color, and green(ish) seemed to be at least a recognised alternative for klingons. |

Very nice job on your Klingon mini - the olive colored Klingon ships are beginning to grow on me. _________________ Jim Lewis

| The only minis I've ever painted before are warhammer ones, so I was using GW paints. The wash was 'devlan mud'. |

My squadron grows, F5 and D7 added to the C7. Not sure whether I like the grey bits I added in, but I fell for the issue I always have looking at starship minis, large blocks of one color look uninteresting, so I had to add something else.
