We had a huge SFB game at Casa de'Tomas on 1/28. After that wrapped up, we broke out ACTA and demoed it to the SFB guys who'd not yet had the opportunity to play it.
3 Federation CAs and a BC versus 3 Klingon D7s and a C7 on a 4x4 open map.
Turn 1 consisted on the new guys moving into firing range and getting used to the turn sequence:
Turns 2 and 3 involved a bit more action as the range closed up, weapons were fired, and the guys decided to try out some of the special actions.
Turn 4 was when things rally got hairy. All the remaining ships got up close and personal. Take Evasive Action, Overload Weapons, and even one HET special actions were utilized.
Turn 5 and we're down to 3 ships. A Federation BC and two very damaged (but not yet crippled D7s)
Turn 6:
The BC tried to reverse out of overload range.
One D7 stayed on it's front shield while the other utilized it's manueverability to get in behind him. End result: A Crippled D7, a damaged D7, and a expanding cloud of plasma that used to be a BC.
Victory: Klingons!!!
