It's daunting trying to cover all the data on every ship in the SFU Smile

A week or so ago someone asked about a comprehensive listing of the fate of certain ships so they could write fiction about them. I downloaded MO-3, but (forgive me), it seemed like it only told the fate of the Kongo (Which IS cool, by the way... but I don't have the Kongo in my list)... and the rest of the document was the same as the ship registry...

I don't know if I'm ever going to write fiction for publication (I'd like to, perhaps!), but I would like to not exclude the possibility if I could (Since, with a few exceptions I'm not really attached to the ships' names, I can change them). Before I put names on ships, would you folks help me out on the history of them?

I'll go easy and start with my Destroyer Group:

504, the Sargon
505, the Xerxes
530, the Charlamange
527, the Sadat

Frigates

302, the Hornblower
406, the Yi Chun

Scout:

590, Gordo Cooper

Thank you!

There is a brief summary for each ship starting on page 15 of Module MO3 (the Index of MO3 provides the summaries). Note that the summaries only summarize the history of each ship as "uncovered" through 1993. Nevertheless, Module MO3 provides substantially more information that then Ship Registry file posted on ADB's website.

There are entries in Module MO3 for all of the ships in your list except for the Yi Chun and Gordo Cooper. See pages 17, 23, 28 and 32 of Module MO3.

Okay, I'm sorry... I did the "look over the document and not see the fact that the ships are alphabetical..." Thing o.O

Okay, I've cleared my list, then... Picking the Xerxes was kinda cool... she's a pretty war-weary ol' gal! Smile

So, does anyone have any more information on the Courier Frigate Bob Hope, CA-1716 Endeavor, Gordo Cooper (SC-590), the Tug Hawking, The Hospital Ship Sanctuary, the DNG Star League, the battle cruiser Montana or the scout Yi Chun? Those guys weren't on MO3. If there is nothing there, then that's cool. I lucked out, no one in my BG-1 has been destroyed (That I know of)! Very Happy

I think the courier frigate Bob Hope was lost somewhere on the way to the Mandalay colony.
