Rule 5e3
Transporters can move personnel or objects.... . A ship could as a single action pick up something....
Can a ship transport drones in flight.
Thanks

No Drones in flight are not able to be targeted and grabbed with a transporter beam. Thats just the way the rules work. Ic you could move droned with a transporter what would stop you from just beaming them into an enimies warp core? _________________ -Dal

No, you cannot launch a drone with a transporter. Nor can you transport a drone from one spot to another. Really, in Federation Commander, transporters do not interact with drones in any way. _________________

Yeah, transporters can't do that. Just imagine what havoc would be had if transporters could transport some kind of, say, bombs. _________________ Mike

The Kzinti would never be able to get anything done. |

The reason I posted this question is because of rule 5e5 limitations. In these 3 paragraphas it twice addresses specific situtations where explosive ordinance or seeking weapons cannot be transported implying at least to my mind there could be situtations where seeking weapons could be transported.
I think a rules clarifiication should be added here .
Add either to 5e2 or 5e5 the following sentence.
You cannot transport seeking weapons.

Well, technically you can transport drones. But, only as cargo. So, you can transport a drone from one ship to another, or even transport a drone into open space. But, when you do so, it is completely inactive and just a "thing" being sent via transporter.
It is just that with infinite reloads in Federation Commander, there is no real utility for this capability. (Outside of some wild special scenario rule.) _________________
