We had a recent debate about this: A ship announces and pays for Evasive Maneuvers during the defensive fire phase of a given impulse, but will not gain the benefits until after the offensive fire phase (that much we get). So then-- is that ship immediately bound by the limitations of 2D4b, or does it also get that "last shot" in the offensive fire phase? My hunch is no, but we couldn't find it specifically. _________________ Damn, these dice are cold! |

Yes, it gets to shoot as well. EM doesn't affect anyone until immediatley after the direct fire phase (ignoring the Impuse 8 exceptions). |

Lee's answer is correct. Neither the benefits or the penalties of EM take effect until after the direct fire phase. _________________
