Marcus spent a short stint in Star Fleet until his trademark temper got the best of him and he struck his superior in a confrontation. After being dishonorably discharaged he took odd jobs as a body guard and a ship hand. Briefly finding time to piss off an Orion Smuggler who jilted him on payment for a job. As repayment Marcus gave him a broken nose and tipped off a local customs agent which caused the Smuggler to be incarcerated for several years. He has hunted Marcus ever since.

Prelude: 1 point for Captain Jack (at the Grey Banshee bar)
Act I: 3 points for Captain Jack, Marcus Kane, and Skexis (the murders of X'al Fen and "Tarsh")
Acts II-III: 3 points for Captain Jack, Marcus Kane, Skexis, and Fred. (Meeting Mualkaal and investigating leads)
Act IV: 5 points for Captain Jack, Marcus Kane, Skexis, and Fred (Captain Jack's lizard-girlfriend and the climatic battle in the desert)

Marcus Kane got a total of 11 points. He spent all of them to do this:

He spent 2 points to buy Observation at 12. (new skill)
He spent 6 points to raise Pistol to 15.
He spent 3 points to raise Tactics to 11.

Went from Beam weapons phaser pistol of 13 (2 pt) to beam weapon phaser pistol of 15 (8 pts) for a total of 6 points spent

Went from Tactics of 9 (1 pt) to a tactics of of 11 (4pts) for a total of 3 points spent

Added Observation (12) 2 points spent

6+3+2 = 11 so he has no points left Sad

Captain Jack I believe based on teh 10x ps you got at the end of the last adventure and the point slisted above in jeffro's post on Feb 3 2011 you should ahve 3 more xps left so you should be a 172 point character not a 169 point character

Striking a superiors officer earns a Bad Conduct Discharge. Now, if by "striking" you really mean "beat to a pulp", then yes a Dishonorable Discharge is in order.

I could mae the case that either type of discharge could be a Disadvantage, the DD being more points than the BCD.

Yes, both are a disadvantage, however, some are worse than others... and some can be rolled into a generic cataegoy such as "I'm horribly embarrassed what I did, so much so, I changed my identity completely to avoid the shame..."

The disadvantage I was thinking of is that as a felony conviction, he will be restristed from access to a lot of benefits and facilities he'd otherwise be able to get. Marcus spent a short stint in Star Fleet until his trademark temper got the best of him and he struck his superior in a confrontation. After being dishonorably discharaged he took odd jobs as a body guard and a ship hand. Briefly finding time to piss off an Orion Smuggler who jilted him on payment for a job. As repayment Marcus gave him a broken nose and tipped off a local customs agent which caused the Smuggler to be incarcerated for several years. He has hunted Marcus ever since.
