There is no way to save the map size so that it is the default. You could save game and use that to save some of the settings that you can't change the default.
Sorry, I don't know of anybody that has created the "black and stars" map overlay. |

I haven't found a way to save a map setting but I have played around with using background images.
I got 'space' images from Google Images and saved them as jpg's. Then, with a game open in the online client:
Go to:
Game--Map Overlay--Set Background Image--the saved image.
the next option on the menu, Set Background Image Type, lets you play with how the image appears.
I've also used the Map Overlay tool to paint a gas giant and the client has some background images saved in there somewhere.
Let me know if you come up with anything interesting. I have a feeling this client can do a lot more than i'm aware of.
Cheers,

I tried both your suggestion and it work.
Using a space photo with grey hexs color and saving it as a new game produce a nice result.
Thanks for your advices. |
