I bought both modules of SFU Marines and have been most pleased. So far, the interaction between the various marine units has been very fluid and "feels" right for a game of this scale. The spotting rules cut down a bit on the "eye of God" effect while not gumming up the game.
Played 2 solitaire, and 3 ftf games and can't get enough. Working on a "basic training" programmed instruction document to introduce the game gradually to new players.
While this game was introduced as an adjunct to the ship game, I think the game's best future is as a stand alone product with cross over rules. You would certainly have to have a real live ground commander to run the ground combat if you were doing ships and troops. _________________ "The Galaxy Must by Ours!"

I'd be interested in your "basic training" document if you created it. Thanks. |

It is capable of being an adjunct to the ship game but that is not how the game is primarily used, nor was it presented as being primarily for that purpose.
There is, by the way, an updated rulebook on the PDF stores and a rules update sheet was in the newsletter recently. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
