Dear Friends:
PD: Purple is a proposed RPG framework wherein players may join REGARDLESS of what RPG system they like, whether it be Gurps, D20, D20M, Traveller, etc...
Purple / Pentagon hearkens to the term "Purple Suits" meaning US Military inter-service activities, ie the guys over at the Pentagon.
So, the rough idea is to have a very-rules or "crunch" lite framework for the actual campaign which we will take from an existing RPG system or draw up a new one. Players may draw up their characters using any current system, then adapt it to the Purple system.
I'm tempted to use the narrative FATE system, but we'll see...
Purple will also make heavy usage of the SFU wargames, particularly SFU Marines, Federation & Empire (OR Federation Space), and a starship game (but we will vote on it - SFB, FC, Klingon Armada, SFBF, ACTA...).
Otherwise, PD:Purple will run through Fantasy Grounds, using its Generic RPG Option, and/or play via this Forum (like the Donebruche / Cardinal campaigns here).
