Can anyone suggest SFU equivalents of the following FASA ships (from the FASA scenario A Doomsday Like Any Other)?
V-6 Gallant Wing cruiser, class XII / type 7
V-9 Night Flyer cruiser, class VI / type 6
V-5 Skyfire cruiser, class VII / type 1
S-9 Wind Carrier scout, class V / type 1 merchant |

It's been a long time since I had the FASA ship data in my head.
The only one that comes to mind immediately would be using the King Eagle for the Gallant Wing, keeping the classic look on a ship more-potent than the tv "war bird". _________________

Thanks. Well, I spent some time digging into it, and here is what I am considering using:
Skyfire -> KR
Not what the scenario designers intended, obviously (if they wanted a D6 they could have said so), but similar size and capability, and it is nice to "ground" the scenario with one familiar ship type.
Gallant Wing -> Vulture
Night Flyer -> King Eagle
Based on size, shape, and capabilities, the above equivalents seem pretty close. Both upgrades of the TOS bird.
Wind Carrier -> Snipe
Probably more like a BattleHawk, but based on the needs of the scenario, the smaller ship will suffice, and provide some nice contrast. |
