I haven't seen much on this planned expansion in a while. Is it dead, or just on the back burner.? Now that Gunboats Attack is now available, one wonders what is the next planned expansion.

Items of Borders of Madness can be found in Captain's Log. Several items already exist. Steve will have to say what would raise its priority.

Aside from Boosters for Gunboats Attack (to add leaders, scouts, combat variants, and cargo/troop variants), the two most likely follow-ups are Fighters Attack and X-Ships Attack.

Do note that there is no timeline for any of those, including the GA Boosters.

We gave up on doing a separate border of madness product long ago, announcing it at the time. We'll do for FC what is worth doing and not do what is not worth doing.

The biggest mistake a game publisher can make is to fractionate the playerbase.

If we create two kinds of FC, we have half as many players for each kind.

Hard enough to maintain live opponents these days. If six people in your group became two groups of three that would not play together because one half won't play MADNESS while the other half won't play without it, the two fractionated groups are in danger of dying when one guy gets a new girlfriend and the second gets a new job.

Makes sense as far as official expansions. I like the idea that experimental rules were put in Communique such as scouts. There are some things in SFB I would like to see in FC, but would be happy if they were "optional rules".
