Hi everyone,
I'm playing Star Fleet Battles again and want to optimize my energy and fleet management. Do you have any strategies or tips for balancing offense and defense in big battles? I'd love to discuss them with you! |

| I'd first suggest purchasing the Star Fleet Battles Tactics Manual and giving it an in-depth read! |

| I would advise getting the Star Fleet Battles Tactics Manual and thoroughly reading it! |

| Ships under heavy fire should use Evasive Movement and keep their best reinforced shields pointed towards the threat. If one ship is damaged, use the remaining fleet to draw fire or point defend. |

Keeping the strongest shield toward the enemy is not always the best plan as sometimes to win the scenario (or just survive) you really need to be moving in a very different direction.
The game focuses on punching through a shield. If you cannot penetrate a shield, then fire anyway and weaken one. If the enemy gives you another shot at that weakened shield, you will penetrate it. This, to some extent, controls his ability to maneuver or forces him to accept punishment if the needed direction exposes a weakened shield. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
