As the torpedoes burn out, the Seltorians swing around to engage the larger Empire fleet. "Sir, three more ships dropping out of the warp behind the Seltorian squadron!" Command and control between the cruisers and dreadnaught go still as they are taken over. At high sublight speed, two Seltorian ...

I played my first game with this group and they are a great group of guys. I lost most of the ships I was given to command and felt pretty bad about it, but had alot of fun. I also learned that I suck with fractions and probably gave my FF and NCL an extra point of energy (or lost a point I kinda ...

"Damn those Federation council fools! Enemies all around us and they tell us not to start any fights...it makes us look WEAK!" The last word is emphasized by a balled fist slamming into the command chairs arm. Before Captain K'losgh of the D5 Eelst can continue his rant a voice calls out from the ...

Space was empty...and then it was not. The form which emerged from the warp would be difficult to pin down for size. Suddenly, other ships started unfolding from the warp in formation ahead of it. The other ships are a mix of Seltorian cruiser class hulls. They are all dwarfed by the giant which ...

Not starting a new campaign...continuing the campaign we restarted some months ago with the recent leap ahead in our time-line and a modified strategic turn structure. Before we used a step by step structure where every empire is doing the same step at the same time. Now what each empire is doing at ...

Pallida, I was researching the posts from the recent campaign, and I have to say that I really like the unique storyline you have come up with, but I have a question why are the races and thier perspectives different than the traditional SFB or FC.

Battle Report: PallidaMors vs DArcTangent. New game: after 30 minutes of exploration economic build-up I discovered a planetary system I had previously explored and was set to conquer already occupied by my opponent with a Starbase build in progress. My fleet of 1 battleship, a dreadnought and 10 ...

Chancellor K'reng was sitting in his high back, ornately carved solid wood chair...scrolling through a report in his hand. Two huge bodyguards stood one to each side of his chair. The other six members of the High Council sat in chairs arranged in a semi-circle, with the Chancellor in the middle of ...

I must say I am impressed by the battle resaults. No offense to you and your players, but I had noticed that most fight were a few internals maybe a crippled then retreat. It was great to hear a true slug fest occured. I would love to hear a full recount to the battle, if it is possiable.
Please ...

If you take a standard Fed CA (with only 4 batteries) to start with 4 preloaded photons you only loose the 4 points from batteries starting on turn 1. Looks to me like a translation of 1 battery to 1 photon. The ratio should hold the same for bases. Unless I've been doing it wrong all this time and ...
