Is it necromancy if my own thread is still six from the top? Had another neat find at a local comic shop this weekend: Nexus Magazine #1 and #9!
Interesting reading for sure - I even appreciate the old ads; #1 of course has the introduction of Starline 2200 minis. Might go rummaging in more of the ...

At least it's reading material!
Years and years since I've actually posted, but I wanted to share a lovely score from the convention this past weekend.
I've always wanted to at least read through Federation and Empire, since as a game I know it'll join others on my "I'll never actually get to play it" shelf - so finding it for a ...

Squadron Engagements
Finally getting a chance to play this upcoming week, and I've been thinking about the best way to introduce the game to my local group.
I realize it's a small game by ACTA standards, but I plan on (and have all the minis for) games using just the contents of the Fed/Klink/Rommie squadron boxes; and ...

Here's my SFB 'today' moment - I know I just recently posted about kicking back into things with ACTA, but I was digging in storage and found my SFB boxset too. I believe it's Commander's Edition; Taskforce Games imprint, cover art is a rear angle of a Constitution phasering a Warbird in the back ...

[Rules] Shuttles and 'contact'
Checked the FAQ and Errata, didn't see anything on this and just need a sanity check.
ACTA:SF p20 - to recover a shuttle, it must move into 'contact' with any friendly ship. Likewise, a Suicide Shuttle attack can only happen when the SS is in 'contact' with an enemy ship in the End Phase.

Returning with ACTA
Been out of the loop a while, but I found the ACTA:SF rulebook at the LGS and was reminded of this project. Still have all my FedCom stuff, still have all my ACTA:B5 stuff. Excited to dip back into the trekverse again.

I've done the same thing as Scoutdad for some of my wobblier ships - stick the regular base to a Battletech hex with a bit of filler in the hollow. Had to go back and paint the extended bases, but if it keeps a front-heavy BC from nosediving on the table, I'll take it. Probably going to do the same ...

Zocchi plastics - wow!
I've built up a few boxes of FedCom minis - the Fed, Klink, and Romulan basic fleets; plus the 'other ships' from KB - and was pleased with the results, if not overwhelmed. On the other hand, my FLGS finally got in a handful of singles, including a bunch of the plastic Federation ships; I picked up ...
