multihit 8 is not maxing any criticals, what it does is 8 damage against shields or 8 rolls against the damage table.
however with devastating +1 that will still do plenty of damage

as has been said fedcom doesnt have crits etc.
photons do alot of damage when they crit.
phasers increase the chance of crits.

these 2 points alone balance out disrupters

admittedly cloaked ships should not even be targetable by seeking weapons.
so thats something that we need to look at.

I know Matthew wants to avoid keeping track of a bazillion moving missiles, but the key point is do the new rules (which I have but haven't studied enough to grasp tactically) account for targeting ...

Has the core system changed much since the B5 days? I read that attack dice are still used, but are they still used against the target's hull or has that changed?

aah thats the older one, i have 8-12-2011.
should be a new one this week.
we got rid of auto-regen because obviously it takes power to regen your shields in FC/SFB that cant otherwise be used on weapons.

shield repair is not automatic, you have to do the special action for it. at least on the set of rules i have.

end of your romulan game, you cant fire when fading in, even in ACTA so how did that all happen? or did the firing happen on the following turn?

cool. tbh photons are slightly overpowered at the moment and also have too much range IMO as nobody in FC ever fires them that far as for FC its 1/6 to hit.
i'm also not keen on seeking weapons rules but as its going to be bigger fleets we cannot use counters as board would be really cluttered. will ...

well we have lots of options for turning in CTA.
basic turn is after half your move, then if you have 2 turns there has to be 2" between them. however agile allows you to turn after 1/4 move and have 1" between turns and lumbering means you cannot move after your turn.

well for those who wanted it, looks like we will have all ships able to go the same speed, how matt will do this as CTA doesnt use energy I will have to wait for my next update.
