I would use a spray surfacer and sand down through that instead of sanding the bare metal. Surfacers are great for filling uneven gaps and pitting, are easily sanded with a fine grit sand paper, and prime very well once you're satisfied.

I'd like to try them...just to see what their capabilities are, but i don't have the extra cash to throw at them at the moment. And considering I already have Photoshop - which I use most of the time for my illustration work - I feel that the extra programs laying around would be wasted on me. Heh ...

I also meant to say that I did check out those programs you mentioned. They're nice, but they're limited in what they provide, simply because you have to make due with what someone else (the programmers and artists) deemed is important to the image making process.

With building the planets ...

Just Photoshop (CS3) and a handful of homemade and found texture brushes. Pretty simple and easy to make, technique wise. The hard part is making the planet convincing...and that's pretty simple by way of practice and research.

Leanna is awesome. The cover is available as a "Miscellaneous" purchase from the ADB web store for $1.00. Very cool. My FC Reference Rulebook binder will now look as good on the outside as it does on the inside!

Good question. I was actually wondering about this myself. I suppose the other option is ordering just the cover from the ADB store. Is that possible? Are items able to be pieced out like that? And how much would just the color cover (front, back, and spine) cost?

Can both the front and back ...

I have to save up for this, but I'm really excited. I didn't realize when I first started buying and downloading content from e23 that you would get emails to let you know when the most recent version is available...for free! How cool is that.

It's truly the gift that keeps giving.

Yeah, except I have pointy ears, an awkward haircut, a bad attitude, and does "not play well with others." That and I'm not made of 100% poured concrete...

Hah! I might have a chicken on my belly, but I breathe HOT LAVA!

Put my second half of Turn 1 in to Eric. It comes for you, Mr. Thomas! (Or possibly not.)

Oh look... that ship hasa funky chicken on it's belly. I wonder if there's a yeller stripe on it's back, too??? :?
