I still think it would be cool if each module in the online store, or somewhere on the SFB site, just listed the names / types of the ships that were in it, but I understand the utility of the master ship annex, which I imagine I will obtain at some point.

Is there a list online of which products contain which ships? I know about the annex that has the list of all the ships with other details, but I just want to know where to find various SSDs. Seems like it would potentially be a good selling tool for the modules...

Just played this duel yesterday. These are two evenly matched ships. I was the Fed (as usual) and started a high speed run towards my opponent, he turned away and I didn't get a good shot until the next turn. I think the initial alpha only did 36 points, enough to drop a shield, but not do too much ...

Everyone had ships of 160 point value or less. To be honest I don't know all the ship types as I don't have a ton of FC stuff, but you can probably work it out as I think everyone had as close as possible to the 160 limit. (The Hydran only had one fighter and didn't even use it.)

Well, we had the battle and it didn't go so well for my Fed new heavy cruiser, but I do think the extra durability and power did save me. I took a bunch of drones from the Kzinti, two point blank Romulan plasma torps and various sundry shots from Klingon and Lyran disruptors and phasers and still ...

Thanks mjwest. I think your analysis is spot on. In most games I like to have a little extra speed, but in a slug-fest I do think the slight extra toughness does make a lot of sense.
