I use Maya 8.5 for all the modelling and rendering.

Hello all, sorry for the lack of updates, real life getting in the way!
Anyway, heres a rough first pass of the ship.
The warp engines are place holder at the moment, also the main hull is only placeholder. At this point i'm more interested in just getting the basic shape right.
Any suggestions ...

Hello, thanks for all the replies.

I was considering modelling in the designation numbers etc into the actual model as it will greatly aid in painting, but then it does limit you to using those numbers.
This is the company i use for all my RP as they have a flat $49 (oz dollar)

Hello, a few questions...

Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of any trek "plans" what i mean is diagrams like an engineers drawing. I'm a 3D modeller and was going to have a crack at modelling a ship in 3D then get it rapid prototyped.

I have done this in the past with 28mm figures but i find 3D lends itself better ...
