Any Players in Canberra (Australia)?

G'day - I'm looking for players in Canberra who might be interested having a game or two with this old SFB player just getting into FC.

Ive tried the relevant contacts listed at the Commanders Circle, but no joy. I'm hoping to have more luck here!

cheers!
Paul

This is an excellent thread with some great ideas, thanks very much.

Its almost worth collating these and other tips into a "FC: Ensign Training Manual" type of article.

The only other thought I've had is that for a beginner, it would seem that 1 turn arming weapons (like Klingons) are a good ...

Guys, thanks very much all all the good advice, tips and warm welcomes.

I must admit, I love fluff and background material. In fact, I kept my 20+ old Captains Logs and other supplements for the fluff and articles. It would seem then that buying each supp in turn is best so I get all that flavour ...

Sorry one more clarification as I found the thread on the refernce Rulebbok a little confusing: The reference Rulebook is intended to replace ALL rulebooks , and the scenarios, fluff and ship diagrams from the various supplments will add to it ?

So just to confirm that will I need to buy this ...

The laminated Ship cards do sound excellent - photocpying was painful, but worse was discovering you didnt have copies of what you wnated as you sat down to play...

The movable maps are a good idea too (I switched to other maps for that reason)

Are the larger colour counters similar to the mega ...

Thanks for the welcome and all the information guys, most appreciated. I have been teetering on the edge about FC for awhile, because I still have all my old SFB stuff. If its still useful to an extent then I wont get too upset about repurchasing similar material, though I think the streamlining of ...

Hello from an old Newbie

Ahoy and greetings Commanders!

I'm a long time gamer (of many genres), and an old SFB player who is interested in returning to the fold. I was a terrible Klingon player who lost too many times to count (!) then switched to Gorn and found more success before moving onto other games when I joined the ...
