Whether a pdf pack or a laminated ship card pack, I will buy it.

Just at least include the 10th ship and the missing Laser fire table for the Romulan WB.

I suspect the ships will also all be in color in an ePack. They were in greyscale in Captain's Log.

Romulan WB
I just wanted to note that CL39 and CL39SF failed to include the Laser fire table that is needed for the War Bird. So, just lifting the rules and charts from CL39 will not cover this. The Laser fire table needs to be added to the playtest pack as well.

Re: The coming of the meteor

1. So it appears that the meteor is a medium size meteor as I can tow it around (see asteroid rules), but it says that if the meteor comes into my hex that it will kill any ship there, which seems odd. Can I enter the meteor hex? Can I shoot through it?

2. If I am in the middle of towing the ...

The rules are all written in Squadron Scale as the default. The differences for Fleet Scale are provided as exceptions.

I believe this scenario does predate the Federation Commander terrain rules related to asteroids and, therefore, its special rules may override the Asteroid terrain rules in the ...

Squadron Scale as the Planet Killer is only provided in Klingon Border in Squadron Scale.

(There is a Fleet Scale version of the Planet Killer that was published in Communique that can be downloaded from the ADB Federation Commander website. If you use it, you will need to cut the starting points ...

There are a couple of issues with Refiner's Fire.

First, while the Communique version correctly describes the location map for it, the Briefing #1 version does not.

Second, my recollection is that there may be a need to put a speed limit on the Gorns to prevent them from scoring an automatic ...

The answer is yes. I have done so for several past orders including my order last month for Captain's Log #49. I have always received all of the SFB SSDs, FC ship cards and Starmada ship cards when I have ordered the loose leaf SSDs.

Scenario:

(8CM13) Asteroid Operations

Problem:

The setup calls for the Tholian Base Station to be setup on the center of a map panel. The Tholian Base Station needs to be setup in the center of the map, not the center of a map panel, in order for the scenario setup to work.

While the ships ...

It turns out the scenario I was worried about (8CM13) is fine with respect to this issue.

In Scenario (8CM13) Asteroid Operations, the Klingon's are attacking with a D6 and 2 x F5 (294 points) versus Tholians with a Base Station, a DD and 2 x PC (336 points). The map is a 35 hex location map ...

I understand the expectation, but that is not what has been happening in the scenarios to date. More often than not, there is a retreat to 8B2 in the victory conditions when the objective is not met (which is often very difficult to achieve). Also, the scenario I mentioned does not contain such an ...

(8B2A) Starting Values

Should the VP adjustment for starting value differences be applied when bases are involved?

In particular, I am concerned this could be an issue where a base is not the objective of an attack and is very unlikely to be destroyed. For example, see Scenario (8CM13) Asteroid Operations, which appeared ...

Lee -- I have been similarly ruminating about the possibility of a league or ladder approach instead of a tourney and the use of scenarios rather than the tourney duel.

Sebastian -- Years ago I would commonly hang out on VASSAL (then VASL) for live pickup games of ASL. However, there was much more ...

Let me echo the praise being given to the FC Tactics Manual. My copy arrived today and I am highly impressed with it. Patrick has done a marvelous job with it.
