As for the deal... works for me. I didn't want to go against the deal, nor extort more money, but a bonus he offers wouldn't be turned down. ;)

"We've got a contract. I'm not real sure how much we should ask for a bonus, though. It's pretty apparent he was withholding information from us, and you're right, there's a lot of fishy things going on.

"Ow," he said, shaking his head to clear his ears. He heads out there, confident that the room is likely no longer occcupied. Is it considered occupied if there isn't anyone alive?, he wonders.

Trying to angle the shot into the room, Fred lifts his gun up over everyone's heads, says, "Stay down," and rips off a short burst. Hopefully, the shots richochet around the room, not out of it back to where they are.

Ducking, he says loudly, "If you all duck down I can spray them with more lead. It'll shred them from around the corner just like the last guy."

He's not really planning on doing that, since we're all in a narrow tunnl together, but perhaps the phaser guys might have second thoughts about hosing ...
