Congrats on your first game. Storeylf got it right. The ADD thing works like how "Phot" hits also take out distruptors.

Drones don't have a range per se, you can lanch them at any target that is up to 25 hexes away (if that is what you mean). After that they move towards the target until they hit it. They can ultimately end up moving far more than 25 hexes as they chase it down. They will last between 3 and 4 turns ...

Well my academy pack arrived today and it already has version 5 rulebook inside, so that's no longer an issue.

OK. How long has the version 5 rulebook been out?
I guess I should wait until academy arrives before progressing, but over here in the UK the rulebook alone is £12.99 and I paid £12.99 for academy as well. So either the stand alone rulebook is hardback, or it has a lot more in it than the book ...

Also I read that the rules supplied with academy is version 4 - is that the latest?
