Federation Commander

I bought both modules of SFU Marines and have been most pleased. So far, the interaction between the various marine units has been very fluid and "feels" right for a game of this scale. The spotting rules cut down a bit on the "eye of God" effect while not gumming up the game.

Actually, thinking about it, a single 15mm miniature could stand in for a team. I do something similar for Squad Leader on the ASL Deluxe (Large Hex) boards.

So if you had these and then Grav tanks in 6mm along with the shuttles, doing a game in miniature becomes more doable.

A few thoughts on Star Fleet Marines as a miniatures game.
The current rules would convert to miniatures pretty easily.

SFB follow up.

This year's scenario will be a variant on the "stasis box". It will feature multiple boxes and several ships who are all fighting either in an asteriod cluster or around a large planet. Running fighters in some type of squadron and switching all thier weapons to direct fire would significantly speed play in both SFB and Fed Com. The Kziniti Fighter Carrier is what first attacted me to SFB and I have been a drone and fighter slinger ever since.

I still use my BDCR cards for damage. Love them! Really speeds up game play even if they don't give the same results as the DAC. Play On! This is something I WOULD by if it were reprinted. Mine are about worn out!
