I'd love to see the number of ships allowed increased to 5 or even 6. With no limits on duplicates. Still one DN or BC of course. I'd love to see destroyer squadrons fighting cruiser groups. Not sure anyone would even go as high as six, but running cruisers all day every day gets boring. As ...

I would like to have a briefing 2 tournament. Less effective ships. Fewer super ships, players probably will have less experience and players standard tactics my not work.

Lee mission killed one of my D5Ws in the first turn. Learned the hard way that Orions can carronade. Got to range 5 thinking at worst I was facing bolts, and then died.

Lesson learned.

Micheal and I completed our game this morning. My D5Ws encouraged Micheal to follow me around the huge map and mission killed is DDL with 2 subsequent over the shoulder alpha strikes on shield 1. By turn 3 he decided to withdraw as it became clear the Klingons could do this all day.

True, you didn't actually destroy my ships, you made us Klingons wet ourselves and give up before that happened. So he's right, dangerous might be the wrong word. I guess terrifying is better.

I love tholians, that's what I get for not being them :) The bigger map is really interesting. Not sure what I think of it yet. For all practical purposes we just played a game where no one was aware of the borders.
Also don't underestimate that tholian force, two WCs is enough to make life really ...

Also, sign me up for a pair of D5Ws. Pretty sure I can make a fight of it with them.

Since you have email addresses for previous participants, maybe send an email reminding people that another tourney is coming. Sometimes people forget and don't visit the forums often. Would be nice if we could get closer to 8 at least.

Its probably not practical until they update the client with middle years ships, but i'd love to see a middle years tourney at some point. I've had a chance to play with middle years recently and I see several benefits:

1.) No fast ships, all the ships have a bit less power and more classic weapons ...

Ncrcalimine played a great game. It was actually really close, I crippled 2 ships, damaged two others beyond 50%, but lost my NCA, BCH, and my remaining NCA was about 40% damaged when I threw in the towel. He still had 3 phaser Gs, and would have 4 torps back next ...

I also got blowed up good in my battle with Nick (logical proof). These Orions have gained my respect, like feds without power or maneuverability issues! In any case, great game Nick!
