Could the second bit above be changed to any change in base speed causes a recalculation of the first bit. That allows for speed changes over the turn break, or any other odd scenarios that crop up.
Based on the proposal I think this needs to be included as well, as it allows for more tactical ...

Sorry, meant to address this as well:
Note, I'm not against dropping drones on fade out as such, I just don't understand how it addresses your issue. I think seekers should be shed via some mechansim when cloaking, I'm less conerned whether it is at fade, full cloak, end turn etc, as long as it is ...

However, for many proper romulan ships that is a not such an issue. E.G. a sparrowhawk cloaked for 6 impulses and a base speed of 16 will have 10 spare power on uncloaking, that is enough to fire all phasers and accel on impulse 8 and activate 2 tractors (or accel on imp 7 and void the cloak). A ...

I think you're looking at it with a very myopic view Martin.
I really don't see how I am as I give examples that affect fleet and duel scenarios, as well as making my proposal on what I think would help (lower the energy cost and raise the damage reduction %'s). In fact I made that suggestion to ...

I still don't see how adding the seeker drop will convince me to use the cloak more frequently.
I still see the main issue with the cloak being that it's just not power efficient enough for use.
For example, when facing a seeking enemy currently as Rom I'll keep the 'speed is life' motto and plot ...

The reason direct fire is range +4 and half damage is because the direct fire is being attempted without lock-on.
Yes, I am aware of this however in SFB if you loose lock you also have to double range, and add the base +5 to direct weapons, so we really aren't keeping with the feel of SFB anyways ...

For my two cents on this I feel that having seeking weapons drop against cloaked ships is not the way to go, and my thoughts on that are below.
If the seeking weapon is controlled by the launching ship. Why would the launching ship still retain any target lock at this point (i.e. No direct damage ...

Battlegroup Toronto
Hey all,
New account here, been playing FC for a couple of years now and am always looking for more people to play with.
As I was reading my War&Peace book last night I noted that there was a playtesting credit given to a "Battlegroup Toronto". I was wondering if anyone would have any information ...
