With the recent "Star trek adventures" game, it seems like it would be possible to convert/interest some people who already got into STA into playing a SFU version/conversion/setting using the same STA rules/framework.

I don't have a group to play with, but depending on availability I think it would be fun to try and play with someone elses group if they wanted a new player.

Thanks Mike. I see the issue now. Apparently I cant use single quotes for some reason:)

I was trying to say that I do not need the dreadnoughts if you are willing to split them up. Thank you.

I suppose I wouldn't mind splitting them up, I do have some offers on FB that from people who might want ...

Managed to "finish" my board recently, or rather. I'm satisfied with it as it is even though there's a lot more I feel like I could do.

Painted the grid lines, glued some cork board to the bottom to keep it from sliding around on tables. Sprayed the top layer ...

Yes, indeed. The other games use hex maps, right? Or at least.. have not as well translated "free movement & measurement" rules as ACTA does.

7000-scale project

I've never really had enough space for a 6'x4' gaming table, with the addition of the 7000 scale miniatures and the suggestion that you could play using centimeters instead of inches. A 72cm x 48cm gaming board is certainly doable.

Right now I've got a white border marking off the "gaming" area ...

Things generally "smaller" than frigates I suppose. Police Cutter (POL), Patrol Corvette (PC), etc.

Battleship movement cost

Just curious, got the federation commander reference rulebook recently. Do battleships have the same energy cost per base speed as dreadnoughts? Do corvettes have the same energy cost per base speed as frigates? I don't see them on the table in 2B1b.

The way it works is there is a public library of assets available, and your own private account has a library of stuff available.
unless you specifically upload to the public library, and i'm not sure how exactly you do that, then the stuff you upload is just on your account. As far as I'm aware.

The way I have used roll20, is that you take a picture of something you own, like a map from an RPG module you purchased, or an SSD card that you have from whatever pack, then you could upload it into roll20 and put it on the layer you need. Using it in this way, it's the same as playing on a table ...

Mini stands/mounts

Well.. CorSec Engineering closed down, and also the person who ran it passed away, so the back orders before close will not be done. I am wondering if there are any alternatives out there right now that people are using?
