I’ve been converting additional SFB ships to my collection of Middle Years from Briefing 2 when I noticed the difference with the plasma-D with my ship card so I appreciate the clarification.

I have one question from your chart. Shouldn't Range 0 on a roll of "1" score a 3 and not a 2? I'm looking at Module Y1 as a reference because I don't think FC covered sub-light ships.

I have seen the sublight Romulan SSD for SFB and noticed the difference but I actually like how FC has tweaked them because they feel more like the ship in the TOS "Balance of Terror".

The scenario is "A Measure of Fear" and it has the OCA take on sub-light versions of Romulan vessels. The only thing the special rules do not cover in this scenario is how to calculate the Point Value of the modified ships.

I understand Federation Commander was designed to streamline Star Fleet Battles and speed up the action. Special Sensors are part of Federation Commander. They were first put into the Communiques and they are in section 5S of the Reference Rulebook.

The Middle Year's Master Ship Chart for Federation Commander shows the Scout on there.

And the year of service of the scout begin in Y130 according SFB Master Annex File.

Could it be the sensors are missing because the Federation Commander rules for sensors were not written at time of release?

I noticed the Middle Years version of the Galactic Survey Cruiser is missing Sensor Boxes. Is this deliberate so I have to get the one in Federation Pack 2?
