Many thanks. Makes sense. I've found a few bits and pieces in the rules like this but honestly, very few. Really well done overall.

Cheat Sheet for Sequence of Play

Pretty sure this has been done to death already but I have just worked up my own version of this and wanted some feedback. Where would I post such a PDF? I don't see an upload function. All good if such clutter is not allowed.

Sorry for the necro on this ancient thread but...same topic basically...

Cloak rules say you pay for cloak in Other Functions. There is also a sentence in 1E1 that mentions "Pay to begin or continue cloak". I get the feeling that the 1E1 reference is not correct...that cloaking is not handled in EA ...

Ha! I had a feeling landings did not happen often....

I am good with the Launch Phase for self-landing.

For the assisted landing, I am fine with the tractor being applied (and potentially contested) during the tractor step of Other Functions and the actual landing occurring in the Launch phase to ...

Had a feeling those were the answers...and yes, I meant DD not FF in my example.

I asked about this because of the way ships can still maneuver while held in webs. Wanted to see if regular tractoring might allow similar turns.

Keeping with the Landing shuttles topic....

2D5b and the example under 5H5 cover landing shuttles on a planet. If I understand the details the sequence follows:

1) End movement for the turn adjacent to the planet.
2) At the end of the turn (assuming somewhere near the Take-Off step), the shuttle ...

Tractored Ship Movement

Lets say a CA with Base Speed 16 tractors a FF with Base Speed 24. Energy cost is 16 versus 12 and there is no auction. CA controls movement which is now at Base Speed 8. The FF had already satisfied its Turn Mode so it is free to make a turn next impulse.

My first question is...can the FF make a ...

You actually answered my question. The sentence about the Aegis ship using its ADD on a tractored drone is what confused me. If that was ALWAYS the requirement, then the sequence of play would not allow the Aegis ADD to fire on a newly impacted drone (since it does not get tractored until after ADD ...

Aegis

Rule 3F1 states that the Aegis ship conducts its Defensive Fire at the same time as the protected ship. Seems to indicate the protected ship AND the Aegis ship both use their ADDs, then phasers, and then the protected ship may use its Tractors on impacted seekers. In that order. So if I understand ...

Landing Shuttlecraft

2D5c allows shuttles and fighters to land on a friendly ship using one of two methods. I wanted to double check when this actually happens. The Self-Landing option can occur during any impulse and references the Landing-Docking step I am not sure when that step occurs...is it in Other Functions or ...

As I plowed through more of the forum last night I noticed a few more topics on this subject. G3 Annex and Steve's suggestion to look up the F&E data were mentioned.

I can see where dates would be an enormous amount of work to maintain and since it can be found elsewhere, saves a lot of time to let ...

This seems to have been answered already but I missed something.

I suspect each ship in FC had a date it was first introduced and perhaps a date it was no longer produced. Is that info available anywhere?

Also wondering about the FC timeline...I can't seem to locate that to better understand the ...

I remember back in the day seeing a post similar to this, Steve. Some thing never change, eh? Thanks for the crazy huge efforts all these years. You and the team continue to amaze. Heck, the product list for FC used to be three items...total. Now look at it! Fun.

Is there a version of the database that is an excel sheet rather than a pdf? For sorting purposes.
