More 1/2500 scale Klingons

Did these minis of Dave's, and wanted to share. It never ceases to amaze me that one guy manages to make minis that are so much better than what the "professionals" make. Absolutley amazing work, and well worth every penny if you're a Trek mini collector. The details are just incredible.

Commission peice: Animated Series-type Romulan KR

I know it's been awhile, but here's something new. Awhile back Mike West asked me about a very unusual project. He wanted me to paint a Micro Machine Klingon D7 to look like the KR ship used in the Trek Animated Series. No problem, really, but he had twist. He didn't want the mini to be the usual ...

Hey Mike... I've wondered how big the 1"2500 ships are. Any chance at getting a single, overhead photo showing the 1:2500 D7 and a 1:3788 D7 together?

Tony,

I would, but I don't have any smaller minis to take a pic of it with. I can tell you it's about twice as long, though. They work great for ...

Damnit, Jeremy, you make me wanna do something new, and I'm busy as it is! Seriously, though, those are great; better than your SFB stuff, in my oh-so humble opinion. Great to see your work!

1/2500 Fast D7

I actually thought of this as a perfect D7F from Star Fleet Battles; a slimmed-down, faster version of the D7. The bigger engines, the slimmer hull...yup, perfect. Sweet little model from Gizmotron; almost no clean-up needed. Comments, as always, are most welcome.

Awesome work, Dale, as always. Great touch, adding some iridescence to the "bug" race ships. Very cool!

Dave,

Thanks for the clarification! I knew there were two versions of this one; didn't know there were three. Either way, these are some sweet lookin' minis.

For those who haven't seen/bought any of these, they're resin. They're also some very GOOD resin; minimal flash, no air bubbles, no nasty ...

Thanks, guys! Been a long time since I did a Fed mini. Savedfromwhat, yeah, it's all acrylics. Just some Detla and Citadel, with some home-made washing and glazing.

Jeremy, Dave Mihail has a site called Scifi Skunkwerks where his minis are displayed, but I don't know if he's selling right now. Here ...

New Raperm mini: Federation BCX USS Avenger

Another one of Dave Mihail's fantastic sculpts based on the Star Fleet Command game. The mini is the USS George Washington class, a great mini for a BCX. Tried a little something new with this. Every Fed mini I've ever done has looked shiny-new. I got to thinking about that. After years upon years ...

Bah, white is fer sissies! :P

I do light grey for my feds, with charcoal grey for the cowling and a pale blue for the bulb. I find the combination of blues and greys appealing.

One year they did make a small three-peice set that included the original Enterprise, the BOP, and something elese...can't recall what it was off hand. The BOP would make a nice x-frigate, but the others were too small.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate that. I'm finishing up a batch of Fed kitbashes for someone right now, and hope to have pics soon. I also have a couple more of Dave's minis I want to complete and post.

I have done a bit of sculpting; sculpted an Andro Terminator for Steve and sent it in earlier this ...

Man, those all look great, Dale. I'd about forgotten about the Orion DN! Talk about oversized!

What kinda paints are you using these days? I've become a fan of Vallejo paints, myself, but still like Citadel inks and washes...and, or course, my good old standbys the Deltas and Americanas.
