Can somebody give me an example or two of how the 'enforced order of application' of damage makes a difference? I understand how to use the rule but I'm not sure what the point of the rule is.

There is a definite disadvantage to using all of one's fighters in a swarm so I think the ability to allocate damage is a balance that works well although when I met the rule first-hand it came as a surprise--I wouldn't have used both overloaded disruptors if I had known but that's on me.

Although it was frustrating for the attacking player (I was the attacking player) I can't say it influenced the game too much one way or another--I lost the scenario but it wasn't as a result of that attack.We'll keep playing the rules and ...
