If you could pick one ship...
Ok, here's a question for everyone. If you could have one vessel from SFB or FC built for you to fly around the galaxy in, which one would you pick, and why?
I would have to pick the Fed GSC since it would be a hoot to run around exploring everything the galaxy has to offer in it. As a Romulan, I feel kinda dirty picking a Fed hull, but that ship just defines what a science vessel should be.

ISC Battleship. I would fly around the universe making everyone stop fighting. You must live in peace or else!!!
Second choice is a Fed Police Frigate. "Mr. Orion, do you realize that you were doing warp 2.4 in a warp 1.6 zone? I'm going to have to confiscate all your goodies." Plus I used to love watching General Hospital. Lets see if my fellow SFB'ers understand that reference.

Starships are like potato chips... you can't have just one!
If I HAD to pick just one single ship, I guess I'd pick the King Vulture dreadnought. Sure, she's slow and a bit clunky; but she can cloak and packs a heckuva wallop if you're in a tight spot. Additionally, she can fly in atmosphere and land on planets, giving her a versatility that other ships with her firepower lack.
If I couldn't have her, the King Eagle would be my #2 pick, for all the same reasons (and in the face of all the same drawbacks).

I would pick a civilian Prime Trader. Since it is indistinguishable from a Free Trader, it doesn't stand out, but provides you with more options. (Primarily the chance to run away more effectively when faced with real opposition.) But, it is a lot more expensive. Plus, it has decent cargo space, providing a means to make a living while touring the stars.
Failing that, a normal Free Trader works, too.
Another good option (when available) is a workboat. (A U1 would work perfectly, even for Federation citizens.) While no where near as versatile as a PT or FT, and only limited cargo space, it should be massively cheaper and not require as much overhead.

It would have to be the Fed GSC for me as well. The Feds have always had an eye for comfort and versatility. I mean, I'm running around without any real purpose. So please, give me the works. Options with sensor power to find it and the fire power to destroy it (if needed).
Lots of hull space so enjoyable and comfortable facilities make the trip there pleasing as well.
