Just Wanted to Brag on My Wife

Post by Darkwing »

After using the cadet ships and the beginner missions she played her first game of SFB today (she took a refitted Fed CA vs a standard D7) and she won hands down. She got the hang of the game pretty quickly.

We'll add overloads and electronic warfare next and maybe I'll last a little longer!

If she's using a Fed CA with overloads...it might end quicker!

You can bet on that! But at least I'll have a shot at getting through the shields in one volley.

How did you get her to play? Did she already have a bit of interest in Trek to work with?

My wife really likes DS9, and have been wondering how to capitalize on that to get her to at least try a Cadet's game.

She does have a bit of trek interest to start with. One day she just asked how the game worked and I walked her through a brief cruiser battle. It worked out well as now we are rearranging the dining room (which we really don't use) into a game room. :D

I also had to give a little, so I have had to go to a couple of home and garden shows since then. It's a fair trade, though. :?
