Bought one of these at Origins, just got around to opening it up the other day.
That third engine - wondering if someone can help me out here. It appears to be the same casting as the engine that comes the fed DD/DDG. One hole on one side for where it connects to the main hull mounting, and one hole on the other side for it to connect to the post upon which the entire mini is mounted.
Works fine for the DD/DDG, as the black post is supposed to mate with the underside of that engine. But on the DNG, that third engine is mounted high up, and the black base post is supposed to go into the rear hull.
So does it sound like i've got the wrong third engine, or am i missing something?

That is definitely not right.
I have several of the DNs and the upper engine does not have a stand hole in it. It sounds as if the gremlins were present when your blister was packed.
If you'll email Leanna [sales at starfleetgames dot com] and expling the situation to her - I bet they'd make it right.
