RE: Rick's art: it appears that he has the bridge sitting on top of the forward hull section. In my deck plans, that's just the dome cover; the bridge itself sits down inside the hull on Deck 3.

To clarify, is your current set of POL deck plans based on the 2500-series version?

Yes, I had to start over when the mini was designed. It's 20% bigger with an extra deck to what I was working one (and had almost finished).

Sorry, but I can't show it to anyone without SVC's permission. Maybe once the new version is approved, I can share the old now-obsolete version.

Oh, I'd prefer to wait until they were published anyway; I just wanted to check which layout you are basing the current plans on.

Sgt-G,the reason that my POL's are different are due to several factors. Firstly, although Steve had released the official miniatures,I had never seen one. Secondly, because there were official miniatures out there,I couldn't copy them, not for manufacture by another company,(I designed and built these POL's back in 1998). Thirdly,I was limited in the rod diameter that I had access to at the time,so I decided that shorter but fatter was the easiest way to go. Like so many of us,when you only have an SSD to go by,and no artwork, you have to envision yourself,as to what it really looks like.

I wasn't after an accurate representation of the 'real' thing, just my idea of it. Now,as this setting isn't the Alpha sector, who's to say that the original design didn't change through the intervening years. :D

The CVS will be getting a partial makeover,in that her engines will finally be getting replaced with ones more in scale than the current tiny ones. It has taken me a while, but I finally sourced some 3mm dia solid rod from which to make proper engines from. Watch this space.

I like the choice of ship name for the CVS.

(Typhoon was the strike carrier which supported the Auroran fleet that fought the First Battle of Aurora VII against the Trobrin in Y149.)

Finally,I've gotten around to painting up a couple of APT's in the Auroran fleet colours. I know that they didn't come into service until after Aurora's disappearance, but I like these little ships.

Very nice!

(You could always say they showed up with either Koraknora or PX 123 during the 2570s.)

I've now painted up the remaining two APT's as AC's.

Only another one AC to be built to complete 'The Furies' squadron of the Mythos Trading Security Company.
