I'm probably getting picky now
(3G6b) CAPACITY: If one of these panel boxes is disabled, then the capacity of the corresponding bank is reduced by ten points. This may result in the involuntary release of power if the bank was holding more points than its newly reduced capacity. Such an involuntary release is resolved immediately as per (3G5c) above, and might result in more internal damage (and a catastrophic explosion).
How immediate is immediate. If I am rolling a 30 point volley and my 3rd point of damage takes a panel out, do I suspend that volley and immediatley resolve the cascade? I hoping this really just means 'immediately after any volley that resulted in the disablement has been completed', rather than recursively suspending volleys as it all cascades. Again, it could have a significant effect for example if the original volley was directed damage, and the directed damage loses skipped damage that didn't originally exist.

When we were testing it, we asked SVC that question.

His answer at that point wasto complete the volley in progress, then resolve any additional 10 -point volleys generated.
Likewise, if another was generated, it simply was added to the end of the current volley, and so on ad nauseum...

OK - slightly off topic, but if SVC is in rule preview mode, Are the ISC/Vudar rules that are in the latest rule book (as draft playtest) still as they are, or has W&P modified them in any interesting ways.

phew!! visions of a stack of half complete volleys to work back up disappear.

The only question I've got left is how soon can I get my hands on this?

...and the booster packs...

there were a few changes. I can't remember exactly what, but there have been many (times many) ISC / Vudar reports, so the changes that were made were good ones, mostly text changes...

I've heard rumor that Origins is pretty significant to the release date. ;-)

Being unable to make it this year, I have to wait until the distributor gets it in, order it from them for the store and *then* I can pick it up.

There have been no changes to how the weapons work (at least as shown in the RRB). However, there have been several changes to clean up the rules from their prototype state. The PPD, ion cannon, and IPG all changed some from their initial versions, and those changes could be seen in the prototype rules in the RRB. These rules clean up those inconsistencies. (Or at least we have tried very hard to clean them up.)

Alex,

If you know someone going -- have them pick up and mail it directly out from the hotel --- or bring it back with them --

Pinecone,
Playtest groups get the ships needed to test the rules ---

For the Displacement Device --

FCs rules being such that tractors are broken if ship is pushed to edge of map or into a planet
It was mentioned earlier about DDs not taking someone off the map, but what about into a planet hex ---

Oh, thank you!

These are interesting! I'll reread the rules Steve posted earlier on this thread and maybe try them out.
