Billbo (Feds) vs Krellex (Kzinti)

Through 2 turns.
Lots of drones launched and killed, a couple have actually done some damage. We closed and traded shots end of turn 1. Start of turn two the OL heavy weapons dance commenced and his NCC took a severe beating but
IT JUST WON'T DIE!!

It still has 10 power, three frame, two photons, and 8 padding.
Meanwhile, my BCH got smacked pretty hard for 34 internals, I've lost some batts, power, a disruptor and a drone rack, plus a few phasers. My CC has some damage to the #1 shield, and his NCL lost its #6 with a couple very minor ints. (A Phaser 3 and a hull if I remember.)
The turn ended with the Kzintis heading off towards the NE corner and the Feds turning a tight circle to keep the cats within in the FA.
We hope to continue this fight by mid-week. (Schedules look so-so for this)
All in all, a really fun fight so far.

Yes, I gotta keep the NCC alive long enough to re-load those torps and keep close...
it was a Phaser #3 and a lab I think on my NCL, U.S.S. Olympia.
Anyway, we saved it so we can pick it up later... we edged towards midnight eastern and the sandman was punishing me for it.

Turn 3 started with the Feds behind me in direction E. Tokyo, his NCC had some pretty heavy ints from the previous turns, but she was not totally out of it yet. (And making frantic repairs). His NCD and NCL were closing up fast, and I didn't want to let them stay there, so I HET'ed all three of my ships to face him and trade some OL shots. The drone wave I had launched was shot to pieces with his own drones, ADD fire and phasers. (His ADD rolls were awesome.) I concentrated on Olympia because I did not want to let those Photons get me. End of Turn three, we were right next to each other (the Tokyo behind, but heading in, she still had a photon to use on me...) Turn 4 was very bloody. I managed to kill Olympia with Overloaded Disr and a few drones (A single drone finished off her last 5 or 6 boxes), and FINALLY got a drone wave through to finish off Tokyo. She just never quit, and managed to fire off her photon (thankfully it missed) before she went down. My BCH Meow Mix took 6 drone hits after taking heavy direct fire (photons hurt!) and she went down hard. Since I had the CC Blood Tooth and the CL Sharp Fang in perfect health and all Bill had was his NCD Azov, he conceded. This battle is the most fun I have had in FCOL thus far. My hats off to Bill and the mighty NCC Tokyo.

I agree, I think our battle on FCOL went very well and was very fun.
That and I had some the luckiest rolls ever on FCOL with the NCC, except that last photon miss...
The USS Tokyo, a Fed NCC, is more "sturdy" than I expected... It took a heck of a beating early, and was still basically combat effective all the way to the end... I still had working phasers and two working photon tubes before the last finally volley...
So I think we were the last match for round #1, right?

Mr. Turner was kind enough to have a picture for us of the U.S.S. Olympia NCC-1546 {my NCL}, right after Krellex dumped overloaded disruptors, a bunch of Phaser-1s and some drones at it...

According to the Round 1 page that Paul set up, it shows all the games are done.
And nice pic of your ship

Actually, looking it over, the Olympia took a pretty decent beating before being combat ineffective... you hit it with what, at one point, 74 points?

Still, I pose the pondering that just one or two PG's in place of the 360 P1s, and it would have been a whole different battle.

Yep, the last Disruptor + phaser shot did 74 points.
Olympia was not *quite* as stubborn as
Tokyo. It only took *one* drone to put her out of her misery instead of six
And Drew, I still shudder at the thought of Phaser G's on the Fed ships.

a 360 degree Phaser G, that would be worth the extra points points... lol

I just noticed / realized something...
The Kzinti all won the first round of the tourney...
All of them won, plus one player with Orions and Pinecone with the Federation.
Very interesting.

Well, I guess I'll likely be facing a kzinti next round...
Oh, and my federation brothers, good luck in the nxt round. We will make a stand for democracy! We will crush our enemies with economic power! And we will show the kzintis that we are sallowed to take half of their territory whenever we want

Actually, we will make a stand for free economy! I like my blue jeans and soda!
That was the dirty, rotten, stinking Human's gift to the galaxy, cola.
