[GM Note: When you guys saw the three ones come up during an investigation action, you realized (OOC) that the GM was passing you a significant clue.
Think what this might be.... Skexis...? Fred...?]

[GM Note: Maybe I shoulda kept quiet.]
Okay. Skexis stops you guys from rushing off. "It looks like you can see the impressions from someone writing on this pad here," he says.
Everyone is slapping their heads.
You go to an antique shop and purchase a souvenir pencil from the earth memorabilia section. Mysterious writing appears as you carefully shade in the top page of the pad....
[Cue suspenseful music.]
Muankaal,
I am sick of the sort of low lifes this current assignment brings me into contact with. Can you please transfer me back into the accounting department after I aquire this last piece?
Sincerely,
Karn Cheyeng
[Merchant roll 12 or less... (3d6=13)] The name doesn't ring any bells for Captain Jack.
[Area Knowledge (Donjebruche) 11 or less... (3d6=14)] Hmmm... Skexis hasn't heard of this guy either....

Captain Jack muses to the group: "Both of those names sounds very Klingon to me... I wonder if my Klingon 'friend' at the Grey Banshee knows either of those names..."

Marcus cringes at the thought of being in the same room as a klingon,"I am not too thrilled about talking to klingons. I will leave it up to you Zack to deal with them."

I'm still going to talk to the housekeeping staff and see if there's anything else like maybe a way into that drawer or something that will read the disk
Skexis walks around the hotel looking for a staff entrance.

Skexis finds some housekeeping staff, but they appear to be union members that have gotten word about your activities. It doesn't look like you're going to get any help from them....
...
Captain Zack... er... I mean... Captain Jack arrives at the Grey Banshee.
[GM pretends to roll dice behind the gamemaster screen.]
The Klingon warrior you were drinking with the night before is there. He brightens somewhat as you walk to the bar... as much as a Klingon warrior would, anyway.
Before you can say anything, he buys another round. You can't pronounce the name of the drink, but somehow (maybe it was a mistake?) a blue worm thing is floating around in your liquor; looks like it has a horrible stinger and nasty pincer jaws.
He slaps you on the back. "To our good friend... Captain Jack... the only human in this place that has any guts...."
A couple of other guys at the bar nod in assent and raise their glasses....
[What do you do?]

After some small talk, the Klingon warrior tells you that Muankaal is a powerful Klingon merchant-- probably one of the most successful traders in Donjebruche. His in the tall mirrored building in the business district. He doesn't recognize the name "Karn Cheyeng."
[GM note: if there's anything y'all want to inquire with the local low lifes about before leaving, go ahead-- this might be your last chance for a while....]

Marcus went with Skexis and I assume Fred. He doesn't want to talk to a Klingon if he doesn't have to.

Captain Jack asked the Klingons if they know anything about Rokerig.

The name Rokerig doesn't mean anything to the Klingon. Of course, he's in town for just a few days until his F5 Frigate pulls out, so he wouldn't necessarily know too many local folks unless they were Klingons.

Captain Jack thanks the Klingons, rejoins the rest of the group and let them know everything he's learned about Muankaal.
"We have a few options, we can try to find a buyer for the items we have, we can try to figure out what these items are, or we can try to sell them to Muankaal. What do you guys think?"

I'm thinking since Muankaal knows what this thing is, he might be more interested in buying it since we can't exactly explain to another buyer it's selling points.

Marcus says,"My guess is those guys that killed Tarts and laid me up in the hospital are watching. I bet they are waiting for us to make a move. The way things sound whatever this artifact is ths Xfan had a piece of it or knew where it is. Heck it might be what's in that drawer. I say we open the drawer. Take whatever is in it and the data disc to this Mankill guy and see what happens. We could possible hit him up for some money in the process and get some much needed payback!" as he slams his fist into his palm."Let's get going!" Then he gets up hesitates for a brief second looking back at the group showing his irritation that they aren't moving faster. His destination the big shiny building Muankaal is at.
