Sorry to resurrect a dead topic, but my questions if right on this topic. I recently picked up a copy of Battle Force. I have the starter deck. Just to make sure, there are no other boosters, cards, or expansions outside of the starter deck, correct? In other words, by purchasing the starter, I have everything printed, or is there more?

Yes you have every printed and sold card for the game in one pack.
That said there were a couple of bonus cards printed on Card stock and given away with mail orders awhile a go, The Fed BC and Klink C7. I asked a couple of times for these cards but they always seem to be out of them when I order things /sigh. Also there are ship cards for the Hydrians, Lyrians, Wyns, and ISC in various Captians Logs as well as like 4 of the Battle Ships (Fed, Klingon, Rom and Gorn I think) and the BCHs for 6 more races along with rules and examples for Scouts, Escorts, and now Troop Ships. Alos there was a Battlestation place mat in one of the Captians Log.
Check this link out for most of the Captian's Log stuff in PDF form.

SFBF is the one game you can buy that doesn't have any other expansions to buy...yet.

In a way that's ok that I don't have to buy more. A few years ago, my son really got into Yugioh, if my spelling was right. I had a lot of fun playing it with him but spent in excess of $5000 on cards and boosters. I'm wishing this card game expanded a bit more, but all the same, the price is right!

A friend of mine produces a card game called
"Revenge Of The B-Movie!". He does print runs of 50 decks and gets them done in the US by
Guild of Blades. The costs are not ideal: The game has to retail for £9 for a boxed deck of 64 cards.
Small print runs are possible, but not ideal or terribly profitable. Frankly, I imagine ADB could make more money for the same work doing something else (and this is business after all!).

I made some of my own ships cards for it, It's not that hard to do. Just scan, print, cut the different icons you need. Place on top of ship card in correct places. Put new Designation and Name over old one. Scan Again. Print Again
Sometimes, I even try to make scenarios with them. Here's one:
(SFBF81) The Mighty Hood Goes Down
(Setup) Klingon D7 and two D6 vs. Federation CA. Take All plasma, enveloper, and the Disengage and Orgainian Ceasefire Cards out.
(Objective)
Klingon: Destroy the Hood
Federation: Survive for 7 turns.
(Special Rules) The Hood can stay in the main Body for turn one. Then it must return to the Screen by normal rules.
The Klingons always have to be in the screen.
(Designer's Notes) This is a short and sweet (or maybe short and stupid, you tell me) scenario. It will probably never be official, but it's fun to fool around with. Enjoy

Piney! Nice scenario for SFBF!
I wonder if a section could be set up here to feature SFBF scenarios? That might be a cool offshoot for the game.

Thanks, I always thought that would be cool.

okay, here's another:
The Iridima Convoy
Setup:
Klingon Screen: D7
Klingon Main Body: F5 (Not in real scenario, but neccesary for balance.)
Federation Screen: CA
Federation Main Body: 4 freighters (five hull boxes and a Ph-2)
Victory:
Point values, but frieghters cost 6 towards th Klingon Score if Destroyed, and 6 toward the federation score if they survive. Federation victory points for destrying Klingon ships are halved, round up.
Special rules: Take the Plasma, Enveloper, PBF, PF,
reinforcements, And Orgainian Ceasfire cards out of the Deck. For a frieghter to escape, it must
1.) use the Disengage card
2.) Move to the reserves (Freighters take two turns to jump one section of the fleet.
The Federation Reserves are infinet.
The fed CA can't move from thev screen till all the freighters have escaped and/or been destroyed. once the CA recaches the reserves, the game outmatically ends.

Now, those were thrown together rather quickly, I'll post a non-official proffesional way of doing scenarios:
Name and Background
# of players and which races
which cards (if any) to take out
race specific setup instructions
victory conditions
Special Rules
We have to understand , however, that using scenarios changes the original shape of the game (getting random ships of any race to fight fight fight). With enough ship cards, there may come a day when you chose the ships by value, and just fght to the death 9instead of the other way around) While i think that colud be fun given the situation, It wouldn't be the same, clean game system that we know SFBF to be now. That said fool ariound with this all you want, and have fun
ABD, if I am somehow breaking some rules or copyrights here, feel free to delete it. I wont be able to. This my last post before heading to a vaction in DisneyLand

You guys know one of the Captians Log has a SFBF Scenerio written up for the "Suprise Reverse" In that articlie it was asked if people even wanted this kind of thing. Before you reinvent the wheel we need to find that article an see how one was published.
Pinecone before you fill up a bunch of Post we better find out if it is something ADB/SVC is interested in seeing or if he even got any responces to that original Article.
I am not saying I am aginst this but we better find out if it has a place first.

Yeah, sure, I'll publish that, whip it into shape and when you're done (i.e., everybody here says it's just right) just email it to me.

You know Wedge, it took me a bit to understand what you meant by this. Man, I must be getting dense in my old age. Naw, my son and three daughters keep me on the edge of bankruptcy.

I was one of those crazy dads that would take my son to the game supply store and buy boxes of booster packs at a time. I'd sit there with list of all available cards and mark them off as I went. Thankfully, my kids' interest in that game waned and I could move on.
I really like these scenarios, Piney. I hadn't considered even trying scenarios until I read your posts on this. Right now I play with my kids who just love playing SFBF with dad. Sadly, they all gang up on me to see Dad's ships blow up. I wouldn't mind a some scenarios to help even it out a bit.
