Like a Slightly shaved down C8 with less weapons. If I am not mistaken a couple of the C8 at the start of the General War started out as C6s.

There are no C9s (except maybe the K9R sold to the Romulians) in Fed Com so I deliberately did not bring them up. :P

In the End I am sure SVC is going to use the same Mini for the C6, C8, C9, and K9R. The only differences is what phasers you paint over. Kinda like the D6/7 Mini.

The C8 and C9 have different phaser arrangements. The C9 has fewer, but slightly heavier, phasers. However, with all of the refits applied, the C9 became inferior to the point that most were eventually converted to C8s. That is why there is just a "C8" in Federation Commander.

The C6 was the prior version of the C9. Like all "Early Dreadnoughts" (where were different than "Early Years Dreadnoughts"), they were dreadnought sized units that had only cruiser sized armaments.

So, the big thing about the C6 is that it only has four disruptors, rather than six. However, that is not the only difference between the C6 and C8. If you want it, the best thing to do is just go get Briefing #2, which contains the C6.

Bringing this back to miniatures, Dal is completely correct. The Klingon dreadnought is used for the C6, C8, C9, and Romulan K9R.

A C6 is very similar to a C8. I doubt we'd even do a new mini for it.

Well, maybe the K9R was originally one of those C6s, as opposed to being a new build?

Can't quote it, since I don't have my stuff with me, but I recall the flavor text for the K9R Behemoth says it was a brand new hull sold to the Romulans.

Or maybe that's just what they told the Romulans when handing it over...

Who knows. I wouldn't put it past the Klingons to "embellish" the "low-mileage" odometers on the D-6s they sold the Romulans (which became the KRs).
