USS Enterprise wrote:Only in Squadron scale. In Fleet Scale, you lose the Disruptor advantage. The Klink does seem to have the tougher time, but there's always advantages, will try this matchup.
In fleet scale the FF has no Ph-1's...

Also, Kang: I like this tactic article. Mabey you could find a way for the F5 to beat an Fed-FF?
I've always preferred the E4 to the F5, because they are less points for the same effectiveness...or so I thought. I might have to change my mind now

Good idea. Maybe I'll put that on my list for the next project.

The E4 is a terrific little ship. Ok it's only got Phaser-2's, but it has an ADD, a 1/4 move cost, two Disruptors and a drone. Easily a match for many a corvette type. I'd take one up against a Thol PC or a Fed Pol any time.
Where the F5 scores over the E4 is mainly in its toughness, although obviously its firepower and total power do come in to it as well. But your observation is a good one.

Actually, I'm just contributing; the manual project itself is in other hands. There is no deadline or anything yet, just a twinkle in its creator's eye

What?! You mean it won't be
Kang's Killer Klingon Kompendium or some such?
