I think you get a "pin" for command/tactical/strategic notes, but not sure. My "command note rank" is Lt. Commander, which I also mention in my sig

People who publish Tac Notes get pins that indicate the number published. People who write scenarios get a ribbon for the product that the scenario appears in.
I know we are running behind on getting the scenarios all recognized, but if you know you wrote one and you don't have a ribbon, please email SVC and it will go into his Customer Request Wednesday pile where he will whittle away at the emails until they are done.

I've just emailed Steve re
Legacy of the Ancients in CL#48; dunno if one gets a ribbon for a Communique product. That said, any scenario published in Communique means that there's one extra for CL, in that the CL scenarios don't have to be 'used up' in Communique.
Having said that, too,
Legacy was such a large article that it would have taken up too much space in CL, so the only place it was feasible to put it was in Communique....

Do Briefings and Captian's Logs count for getting ribbons?

Pinecone, yes they do and in fact I have two ribbons for Captain's Logs and one for a Briefing.

Kang, you time traveler! No ribbons for anything published in the future as CL#48 will probably be published in 2013, the year I move to Texas!

You'll get it then, and
not before!
Communique scenarios don't get ribbons. Doing something to Communique such as proofreading or checking Ship Cards for a whole year gets you a ribbon.
Ribbons and medals are truly earned by those who are awarded them. They represent a serious commitment in time and in energy and are never given lightly. That is one reason that people who have earned them are so proud to display them.

Send me an email about the ranks and I'll put it in the file for Customer Request Wednesday.

All communique scenarios eventually end up in products and the ribbon is given then, for the product. I suspect that a future Briefing will have all of the communique scenarios (even the big ones) that didn't end up in Something Attack.

Dear steve do you rember that i did a article in a captains log called the battle for organia does that qualify for a ribbon?

What you need to do is to email SVC, give him all the information he needs to find out if you qualify (your real name, the Captain's Log number, and the name of the article/scenario) and then he'll be able to work on it the next Customer Service Wednesday. Remember, the more information you give him, the easier it will be for him to process it (and quicker, too).
Does this help?

Hi all,
The Wall of Honor is up here:
http://starfleetgames.com/ArtGallery/Wa ... onor.shtml
Please remember that you will need to email SVC with any problems you see. (Don't PM him as his computer hates PMs and does Very Bad Things and that makes SVC cranky -- well if your computer crashed and lost all your work, you'd be cranky, too!).
This fixes won't happen instantly as SVC should only work on them on Customer Service Wednesdays (he needs to work on new products, too), but they will get done over time.
Enjoy!

Mike,
Use the direct link to the photo (getting it from the previous page), rather than the whole webpage where the photo is stored.
If you use this code:

You should get this:
