I am glad to be back at this. I will say, playing a Monitor is different. With speed restrictions the most I can go is Speed 16 (baseline 8 + accels). It is way loaded with weapons. Glad i dont have to outrun plasma.

Turn 2 saw some maneuvering... the launch of even more Kzinti drones (all of which were handily dispatched).
The Kzinti fired 4 Disurptors at Range 12 during impulse #8...
The Federation monitor fired 5x Phaser-1's at Range 12 druing Impulse #8.

Here's the result:

Well...
This one is going to get bloody... FAST!

The Federation player responded first. His Offensive fire is as follows:
  • Federation Monitor pays 12.0 energy tokens to fully overload Photon Torpedoes [D,E,F].
Federation Monitor fires 6 fully overloaded Photons [A,B,C,D,E,F] (16 point warheads) at Kzinti BC.
Federation Monitor pays 3.0 energy tokens to fire 3x Phaser-1 [1,2,3] at Kzinti BC
Federation Monitor pays 0.5 energy tokens to fire Phaser-3 [7] at the Kzinti BC

Now to see how the Kzinti player responds.

Whatever the Kzinti BC does he is going to take around 120 points of damage on Shield 1, which has 30 leaving 90 minus 5 batteries for 85 in with 101 boxes not counting Frame. Hmmm... Doesn't look good.

The Monitor, on the other hand is looking at approximately 100 points of damage on Shield 1, which has 36 leaving 64 with no batteries used due to limited power left in the Monitor. It has 86 boxes not counting frame. Hmmm... Doesn't look good.

Both are going to be floating wrecks and it will be interesting to see the end result.

OMG! THIS IS SOOOOOOO EXCITING.

I was trying to get within range one of the BC, but I was going to execute a slip to leave me out of arc of two PH-1s. However, he accelerated, and I lost priority.

BTW: I think your numbers are off. He is going to take an average of 138 to his shield 1, while I will average 81 points to my number 1. Dice rolls will be the big decider.

My MON's big downfall is having only 4 frames and 6 warp. I will start getting FRAME hits from 10th points fast.
