I like the model as is, a longer neck or longer forward hull would throw off the balance and bring it back to looking more like the original miniature.

I really like the new design! It's a bit more avian than the old one - which I think is very fitting - and the added detail is great!

I wonder if there is any chance of seeing an article in Captain's log about the new look. Could be explained that the 'transmission tapes' that SFU uses as it's 'historical source' had corrupted elements that are now being corrected.
