True (and I forgot them), since they are BoM.

I have to say, "Klingon mutiny" was probably the single most ignored rule in SFB.

I don't know if is the most ignored, but it ranks up there. That's why they are BoM, and not part of the main rules.

Really.
Security Stations were a prime hit-n-run target back when we were playing SFB full-time. Nothing is as satisfying as watching your opponents ships mutiny.

In the games I played I don't know that it was ignored vs. it not coming up. The group I played SFB with didn't do a lot of hit and run raids, either.

Yes, when I played SFB we I never bothered with boarding parties either.

Another question re: the penal ships...
Is it true that Klingon penal ships always suffer a degraded crew?

Yes, that is true.

For what it's worth, I drafted a scenario in SFB that show cases the rules for:
Legendary Officers
Outstanding Crew
Computer Controlled Ships
X-1 Technology
Poor/degraded Crew
Sadly, Petrick passed on the option to publish it as he felt it was "too contrived".
I never rounded out the Klingon forces, but I set the Federation forces.
Setting: Late war, the Klingons attempted a deep raid to strike at a rear-area supply depot. They scraped together a hodge-podge force of six to eight ships that must include one D6J or D5J. Unfortunately for them, they were intercepted by three Federation ships before they can reach the depot.
These aren't just any Federation starships. Star Fleet is conducting a test to determine the future of the war fleet. They were having a fly-off between a Computer-controlled fully-refit CC and a CX first generation X-tech ship. The judges were onboard a third ship, another fully-refit CC which is manned by a combat-hardened Outstanding Crew, plus all Legendary Officers.

That scenario sounds pretty cool, actually!

That scenario sounds hilarious. Especially since the computer controlled ship will go nuts and ruin things for the Feds. Can't move it into FC yet, as there are no X-ships, but if there ever are, please try again.

Send the scenario in!
