This ship card pack has six Federation Commander full-color ship cards of the old Eagle-series ships for the Romulan Empire, including:

Snipe Frigate

Also included are a scenario and the graphics for the counters. Each ship is presented in high resolution in both Fleet Scale and Squadron Scale.

BEYOND THE VOID LIES ... OMEGA!

On the far side of the ISC is the impenetrable Galactic Void, a dead zone in which no ship can survive. Beyond that void lies the Omega Sector, a wild and warlike area where two dozen empires battle for survival with new ships and new weapons. These empires and ships have previously been presented for Star Fleet Battles (in a series of five modules) and now, this playtest pack makes five of those empires available for testing under the Federation Commander game system.

Included here are rules for a dozen new weapons, background for five of the empires, and two typical ships each for the Maesron Alliance, Trobrin Empire, and Probr Revolution and one ship each for the Iridani Questors and the Federal Republic of Aurora. (Each ship is presented in Squadron Scale, and in both full-color and low-toner versions.)

The rules are not proofread and need testing. Reports should be sent to ADB, Inc., for use in developing a formal product. Some "art" is not included in this playtest package.

This playtest rulebook requires Federation Commander: Academy, Federation Commander Reference Rulebook, or another "entry" rulebook in order to fully use these ship cards.

Welcome to the Lesser Magellanic Cloud! Whether you sign up with the Baduvai Imperium, Eneen Protectorates, or one of the other empires in the LMC, your skills will be tested.

This playtest pack includes rules for combat, weapons, systems, terrain, and ships. Included are scenarios to test your skills.

There are cruisers from the Baduvai, Eneen, and Maghadim empires. There are destroyers from the Baduvai, Eneen, Magdhadim, Uthiki, and Jumokians for you to fly. There's even a short essay on tactics to get you started.

The Federation Commander Tactics Manual is designed to create better players. Building on your understanding of the rules, key topics are explored and advice is given on how to take advantage of your knowledge. The book includes both broad tactical principles and specific step-by-step techniques and procedures.

The Tactics Manual includes how to plan your battle (and stick to a plan), analysis of each weapon and each empire, special types of units (battleships, bases), terrain of all types, and maneuvers of all types and when to use each one. Subjects covered include: firing arcs, shields, energy allocation, targeting, special sensors, damage control, suicide shuttles, Marines, transporters, tractor beams, and everything else. This book also includes a compilation of all Tactical Notes published to date in Captain's Log through #48.
