"Hey um...can I carry my share myself?" Skexis pats a pouch on his belt, the only article of clothing he wears. "No offense, but I've gotten screwed a few too many times."

Marcus says,"yeah hand mine over too."

5000 for the artefact... and 5000 for the killers, dead or alive. He gives you a slight bow signifying that the deal has been made. [OOC: Captain jack knows what to do in return, of course.]

[If y'all have any questions for Muankaal before we close the scene... go ahead and ask 'em....]

"Any ideas of who would want to kill Tarsh, or interfere with your affairs like that?"

"Sure, when we're done here," he says. He will pass out the shares as soon as they leave.

"How about a thousand each, and a thousand for expenses, to be split if unspent?" (OOC: Am I counting right, 4 PCs?)

"My activities in reaquiring artefacts for the Klingon Historical Society have never taken a violent turn such is this. I'm as confused as you are as to what could motivate these people."

"Ok, we'll work on finding the killers and attempt to figure out what they are up to. Wish us good and honorable hunt!"

"Good hunting!"

After they leave, he says to Captain Jack, "Jeez, Jack- don't put all your cards on the table at the same time. I mean, just because you play it out, don't mean it's not right. Like poker- you don't bet it all if you draw a good hand, you wait and try to get the most money. That don't mean you're cheating.

"Plus, I bet there was something on that thing to help us find these guys," he said, pouting like a two-year-old.

"Experience has told me not to even mislead this Klingon at all. Bad things would have happened to us, trust me..."

"Oh yeah, please give me my share before I need to shoot you for it."

"I never said mislead him," he complains, handing over the 1,000 creds, mumbling, "You know me too well."

"I said, stretch it out a little, get several payments instead of one. I mean, just piping up once probably got us double the money he was going to pay, without hesitation, even. He would have paid more without a problem. Granted, not another double, but that 1,000 creds there could be the difference between telling him about the disk after we settled about the artifact.

"Tell you what, next time when it's money, let me do the talking, OK? I'll make sure not to fleece them or anything, like I said, it's a game of poker, not cheating at poker. And poker's my specialty."

"I've spend some time as a merchant is the past, and I'm just warning you that you shouldn't haggle with a Klingon."

"Anyway, for as bad as things went, I think we got a good start. Now, where should we start looking for our mystery guests who decided to Ice the guy we were supposed to protect?"

Marcus pipes in,"The less we deal with Klingons the better." Putting his hand out for his share and flashing his fiercesome stare if Fred hesitates."So where do you supposed we look for these "Killers"? What they wanted we gave to Moonakill.."

Handing over 1,000 creds to Marcus as well, he says, "Hell, I'm the front man. You guys are supposed to be the brains. I have the charm, and when that fails me, the big guns-" he holds up the phaser rifle- "Which, by the way, I'm surprised to have even gotten in there with. Remind me not to hire Black Sun when I'm rich and need security. They suck, those guys don't pay attention at all."

"I don't suppose I can get MY phaser back? I'm gonna go ask at the guard post. And after that, let's eat. I was getting too broke to fill my belly. Wouldn't mind a drink either."
