Yeah, somebody needs to remind Leanna to upload the Romulan Armada ship cards, and the rest of that book.

Briefing #2 ship cards

Post by hacksaaw »

I just went to see what it would cost to purchase the briefing 2 ship card downloads, and i was utterly shocked by the price.

I was assuming something like 15 to 25 at most for all of them downloaded and the total would have been 50.00.

if your making sales at these prices, good for you but making the price equal to what the retail price for the retail boosters would have been just seems very high for the electronic format version of the product resulting in what has to be depressed sales from the more casual fed com players.

for example if i go buy say a copy of fantasy flights players guide to warhammer fantasy roleplay 3rd edition in PDF, it costs half of what the retail price is. Fantasy flight still gets about the same in the end as a sale of the hardcover version of the book, and often makes an additional sale to the customer of the same product. Which is what i was hoping to do here by getting access to an electronic version of what i allready had so that i could print out the sheets and use them to play the game with. I guess the black and white photocopies from the briefing book will have to do.

thanks
Chuck

That's actually the fair price, compared to all of the other ship cards uploaded. What makes it look like a lot of money is that there are a LOT fo ships, more than any other product-set.

Klingon Border, Romulan Border, Klingon Attack, AND Romulan Attack and all 12 associated boosters have FEWER Ship cards than Briefing #2.

I think at one point the issue was raised that the company didn't want the e23 products to undercut the prices of the printed products. This would therefore keep the retailers sweet :)
