CorelDraw.

I Downloaded the hex map from the ADB website and imported the PDF.
The counters were just created from scratch.

The actual .cdr file is about 3.5 megs, but it's also done in layers to facilitate manipulation.
Once I rotate / move the units as needed, I just crop the relavent portion out and convert to a smaller .jpg.

In case anyone is curious... The movement / EA / Impulse activity segmants are tracked in an excel spreadsheet (which can be found about half way down page 2)

We are currently at the start of the Offensive Fire phase.
Fire orders have been issued but not yet resolved.

I maneuvered well, but because of my orders, fired too soon. PBEM can be a challenge.

I learned that in my first PBEM game.
It's a balancing act between getting proper firing orders to the moderator...
Either you fire too soon, or even worse... you fire too late.

But you do get better with experience.

Didn't the FF fire it's plasma-F as a bolt last turn? So the CA should be launching an S and an F torp, and the FF launches nothing.

Yep. My bad. That's what I get for making notes on a coputer print out as I'm in-between inspections at work.
Same number of Torps... same targets, just need to revise the Launching Units!

edit: Done!
My master copy of the map has been updated, so the change in PF-1 location will be corrected in the make SitRep.

See how the cowardly Federation runs in FEAR from the awesome power of my gunline!! Or maybe it's the plasma. Whatever.
(Note: this is at FLEET scale, so that's twice as much plasma as it looks if you're used to Squadron Scale.)

Edit: I think showing Eric's ships the down front shield on the DD must have initiated a break condition. Curses! :lol:
